Mom & Meals Drive
No one gives more of themselves than the moms working hard every day to make ends meet. As someone who was raised by a single mom, I know firsthand the challenges they face. This season, let’s come together to give back to them, and to families throughout our community who could use a helping hand.
From now until December 15, I’m hosting the Moms and Meals Drive 🛒 to collect food and essential household items for single moms and families in need.
Drop off details:
📍 District office: 795 Ela Road, Suite 208, Lake Zurich
⏳ 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Want to donate but do not have extra time? Visit our Amazon Wish List to give directly online! All items will be sent to the district office.
Amazon wish list: Amazon Wish List – Darby Hills
All donations will be distributed to local food pantries throughout the district to help support those who support others. Together, we can make a real difference.

Grateful for Family and a Thanksgiving Spent Together
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I hope your Thanksgiving was filled with good food, warm memories, and time with the people who matter most. I was grateful to have all three of my kids home, including my daughter, back from college. A full house always makes the holiday brighter!

Stop the Chicago Transit Bailout and Protect Suburban Families
Higher taxes, higher tolls, and diverted road funds are not the answer. Suburban families shouldn’t be forced to bail out Mayor Brandon Johnson, the CTA, and Chicago. I voted no, and I’m urging the Governor to veto Senate Bill 2111.
Click here to watch a video of me, Senator Craig Wilcox, and Representative Tom Weber speaking on this issue and calling on Governor Pritzker to veto Senate Bill 2111.

You Asked — We Acted
Recently, a constituent came forward and bravely shared her story of being abused by her therapist, an experience no one should ever have to endure. She brought me a proposal to help protect others from the warning signs she wished she had known sooner. After hearing her concerns, I knew action was needed. I filed Senate Bill 2682 to require clear, accessible patient notices outlining potential signs of therapist abuse, and the bill has now been referred to the Assignments Committee. Her courage is helping drive meaningful change, and I’m proud to turn her experience into protections that will empower and safeguard future patients.

Happy 207th Birthday Illinois
December 3rd marks Illinois’ 207th birthday. Since joining the Union in 1818, our state has grown into a leader in agriculture, transportation, education, and innovation, shaped by generations who built their lives and communities here. Today is a moment to celebrate what makes Illinois home and reflect on the history that guides our future, as we continue working toward a stronger state for every Illinois family.
