Lake Zurich, IL- State Senator Darby Hills (R-Barrington Hills) is calling on community members to come together this holiday season to support single mothers and families facing financial hardship through her Moms and Meals Drive, now underway through December 15.
“No one gives more than the moms working hard every day to make ends meet,” says Hills. “I was raised by a single mom, and I know firsthand the challenges they face. This season, I’m encouraging neighbors to join me in giving back to families who need it most.”
The drive will collect non-perishable food items and essential household supplies, which will be distributed to local food pantries throughout the district. Donations may be dropped off at Senator Hills’ district office in Lake Zurich.
Donation Drop-Off Information
• Location: 795 Ela Road, Suite 208, Lake Zurich, IL 60047
• Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Collection period: Now through December 15th
Residents who wish to participate but may not have time to shop in person can contribute through Senator Hills’ Amazon Wish List, allowing items to be sent directly to the district office.
