Did you know nearly 1 in 2 households with young children experience diaper insecurity? That is the reality for families across Illinois.
Senator Darby Hills testified in the Revenue Committee on SB 3869, a bill she filed to eliminate the sales tax on infant, child, and adult diapers.
Senator Hills commented, “Diapers are not a luxury, they are a basic necessity for babies, children, and adults who rely on them for medical needs. No parent should have to choose between buying diapers and paying their bills.”
This legislation is about easing that burden and making life a little more affordable for Illinois families.
