Dear friend,

As Mother’s Day approaches, I’m reminded of the strength and resilience of the women in our community, especially those facing unimaginable challenges.
That’s why I’m proud to host a Mother’s Day Toiletry Drive through May 9 to support A Safe Place, a local organization that provides shelter, services, and hope to survivors of domestic violence in Lake County and beyond.
This drive is a small but meaningful way to show our support. I invite you to join me in donating new, unopened hygiene and household essentials including:
- Personal care products: shampoo and conditioner, ethnic hair care products, body wash, hand soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, deodorant, body lotion, baby soap and shampoo, diaper wipes, and diapers and pull-ups in all sizes.
- Household items: paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, garbage bags, Ziploc bags (all sizes), aluminum foil, disinfecting wipes (e.g., Clorox), disinfectant sprays (e.g., Lysol), toilet cleaner, and multipurpose cleaner.
- Additional items: disposable gloves (all sizes), disposable masks for adults and children, and new underwear—particularly women’s sizes XL and up, as well as all children’s sizes.
Please note: We cannot accept travel-sized items; all underwear donations must be new.
