Palatine Prescription Drug Drop-Off Event

Help keep our community safe by properly disposing of unwanted and expired medications.

State Senator Darby Hills is hosting a Prescription Drug Drop-Off Event in partnership with the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Palatine Police Department, and Inverness Police Department.

Join us on Saturday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Palatine Police Department, 595 N. Hicks Rd., Palatine, IL 60067.

Safely disposing of unused medications helps:
• Protect our environment
• Prevent accidental poisonings
• Stop medication misuse and abuse

Accepted medications:
✓ Unwanted or expired pill medications for humans and pets

Items not accepted:
✗ Liquids
✗ Creams
✗ Needles or syringes
✗ Illegal drugs

Pills may be brought in prescription bottles, which will be securely shredded to protect your personal information, or in unmarked plastic bags.
